I'm getting ready to leave for the polls and I'm already crying. I never thought this would happen in my lifetime, you guys. I'm overwhelmed.

Just passed my polling place on the way to work--polls won't open for another 40 minutes but there are already five people waiting.
The line here is long, but it's moving.
Zen (from wayback) I'm so glad for your good news.
We got to our place at 7am, the line was already out the door. I found a white jacket but amended it as planned with B.org nerdery, photos up in the usual places.
Inigo, I hope we win.
I voted on Oct. 20 (yay early voting! although there was still a 20 minute wait). But I'm wearing a pantsuit and my striped wicked witch socks. After work I'll pick up lemons and bourbon for hot toddies (one of my results watching guests has a cold) and go home and fret until the results come in.
I am getting no work done! And there is much to do. Sigh.
In better news, I am having a great time reading and seeing the voting experiences. So excited! This is it!
Clothing update: Run Like a Girl t-shirt and sweatpants.
This is the first time there's been a line at my polling place. This is a good sign. There's several moms with their daughters, and many white-haired women. I'm going to cry again.
I just turned on a live broadcast from a local news network that is at Susan B. Anthony's gravestone. It is just COVERED with stickers. I can't stop crying. I don't know if this will work: [link]
I'm wearing a black pantsuit and a blue scarf today. I got to the polls about a half hour after they opened, and it took me about 45 minutes from when I got in line to when I got back to my car. I was worried when I got towards the front of the line, as it looked like they didn't have any I Voted stickers. Anyhow, I got my sticker, so all is well.
I voted with four generations of Daisy Jane's family (one was too young to vote but got a sticker anyway). I didn't cry but I'm so amped up I'm practically vibrating. It's prob a good thing I'm not allowed to use FB during work hours. Changed from pantsuit to work clothes but I'm wearing my bandanna Rosie-style and keeping on my Peggy Carter lipstick.
