Saffron: But we've been wed. Aren't we to become one flesh? Mal: Well, no, uh... We're still two fleshes here, and I think that your flesh ought to sleep somewhere else.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Home now. I have a one day work week this week. I go in tomorrow, but Wed. and Thursday I have late morning appointments, and decided to not bother trying to go in after that. Friday is a holiday.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I was just reminded that Friday is a holiday here, too! I think I might not tell my mother so I can go to a noon movie instead of to see my father.

...my ambitions have gotten very small.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Not a holiday here. At least, not the day off from work kind.

I can remember when Election Day was a holiday ... at least, I remember school being closed, but that may have been because the schools were polling places. Luckily, Friday IS a holiday here.

As a public service, the Washington Post has a "Relax 2016" playlist - brief (less than a minute) videos of things that are low key and generally restful. Like this.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I am finding xkcd today oddly affecting: [link]

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Misha is in Cincinnati, right near campus, and I find out about it after I drive home?

Oh well. I'm exhausted, anyway, and probably shouldn't be on my feet anymore today -- I was using my walker today.

I just got off the bus at 5:35 right by where Mischa Collins is supposed to be, and there was already a big crowd of young women on the sidewalk. I'd estimate about 40 people.

Also, we got canvassed in person for the first time today - just a sticker left on the door - and Dillo is very excited about it!

I shall do some basic grocery shopping this evening then order a calzone for tomorrow while watching happy movies and surfing election websites intermittently. Note to self: get a universal remote for the BluRay player so I can watch the commentary on Fellowship of the Ring. I need to listen to some Hobbit actors being snarky and talking over Sean Astin.
