So son's GF and I did a 5K this morning. She had never done one but she had the job of driving me down there at 6 this morning so she registered last night so she wouldn't have to hang out in a parking lot for a couple hours. Note to self: Fort Lauderdale at the end of April is Hot, even at 7:30 AM.
eta: then we stopped at the restaurant where my son works and got fed. Now she will nap and I am driving to the other side of Florida in DH's truck to pick up furniture with other son and celebrate my sister's birthday. DH has basketball all weekend so he can't go. I will sleep well tonight.

I did not run this morning. For one thing, it's really warm! And for another, I had 1 unit too many of alcohol last night and woke up with a nasty headache at 4 am. So bah. But YAY for -t and meara and all other exercisers.

I dunno about this AAA car-buying thing. I went through the process and now I'm getting random phone calls from dealers and none of the prices they're emailing me are the one AAA said I could get. How is this supposed to work again?
In other news, after Dad died I discovered he'd left a safe deposit box in Florida, and after talking with Bank of American multiple times, during which I got a different story every single time, I am told that I have to file court papers to even have the SDB inventoried, much less sent to me. I have no idea what's in it, if anything. And it's going to cost me hours of time and $230 to find out. So pissed off. In any other state I could just have them ship the contents to me, but Florida requires a court order. ARGH.
I just freaked out about Mother's Day, started searching online for gifts, found something, and bought it, within the space of about half an hour. I'm feeling very efficient.

Ran 6.25 miles this morning. Though two miles of that were really walking, because it was seriously uphill. And the I came home and proceeded to polish off the remaining Chex mix I had made last night. Mmmm. Now tempted by a nap. Supposed to go to a party later, hoping there are cool people there.
