That is a nasty mess, Toddson. I'm glad that you have documentation that the mess is not of your making.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Basically, I think the graphics person is a whiny baby and is creating inefficiencies, but since I am the bottom of the hierarchy, I will make sure to not defile her inbox ever again and make extra work for my coordinator instead of just being goddamn efficient.
There is very little I hate more about corporate bureaucracies than the culture of "email person A asking them to email person B so they can email person C about a question person Z had." DUDE, WE ARE ALL ADULTS HERE. IF YOU WANT TO KNOW A THING, ASK THE PERSON WHO HAS THE ANSWER AND STOP WASTING MY TIME AND PIXELS.
Ugh, I have a 6:45 AM meeting tomorrow. Like tomorrow won't be BAD ENOUGH.
And now I am rolling my eyes at that graphics person.
Also, went in on my day off to interview someone. While there bosslady asked if I wanted to tackle figuring out a mess in someone's checkbook. Yeah, I did. Last night when I was working, it almost made me cry when I found the mess. So bosslady helped me find missing documents and essentially the problem was that the account had not been reconciled since the person before the person before me. OK, that was in August of this year (yeah, turnover has been an issue this year). I am so glad that it was not a major error or worse.
One of the people who does graphics at the AMA got completely pissed off when I emailed her directly to ask when a figure would be ready to send to the author.
I think maybe this person would get more work done if she didn't spend so much time being mad about email etiquette.
That's one of the things I hate about moving into management. I feel like all I do is ask people to tell me things and then turn around and tell those things to someone else.
Also anxious, trying to work on my self-eval, etc. But I was sick the past few weeks and can't recommend--since I work from home I basically just kept working. And then if I took time off it just meant more was waiting for me when I got back.
Teppy, Flea, can you see long voting lines from where you are? :)
Yeah, I'll be watching until late tomorrow. Even if the presidential race gets called at 8:15 (again), I'll be staying up to see how things are going with the senatorial races. Luckily, everyone at work is pretty understanding, and when I suggested working from home Wednesday, my manager was like, "You know how to call into meetings. Go for it." So I will.
I just came back from a gyne appointment - I do not have cancer, I release the health~ma I've been bogarting for a couple weeks. Also, I just got a new boss; they promoted a team member to take over my former manager's position, so I guess we're not about to be fired. It's all good news today - but now I should go back to work and I just want to cry and go to bed.
My concentration has been shizzle this whole awful year. I need life and the universe to settle down and stop scaring me.
Hooray for good news. That's a lot of stress to release at once.

OMG, yes. And it is frequently my job to be person B or C. We are trying to reduce that, but it's slow going.
{{Zen}} Hope the new boss works out well.
I have a headache. I really want to go home and lie down but (a) just got word of a big change at one of my customers that I may have to deal with and (b) I took the bus today and wouldn't be able to catch one heading homewards for half an hour anyway. Bah.
