In some ways, having a mortgage, 10 years of the same address and 4 years in the same job is a mid-life crisis for me.

I want a big house where I and all my friends and our animals can live, and enough money to pay for it all and travel sometimes. I've got no more ambitions than that. Really, I want the same thing I've wanted since I was about 6: Leave me alone and let me be. The only difference is, now I know how to accomplish that.

I could have written Zen's post exactly, except for the knowing how to do it part. (I mean, I know how to live happily alone with friends and animals and travel, what I don't know is how to accomplish it realistically.)

Connie, I'm glad the bank didn't fuck up.

I applied for a job that would be perfect for me today, in a more money, less stress way, even if it's not exactly what I want to be doing with myself five days a week. But I also talked to my agent today, and she's really excited about what I'm working on, so I'm now excited, too (and trying to ignore the oh-my-god-now-I-have-to-write-well fear that came along for the ride).

I am not this moment having midlife crises, but I've so been there.

That's my problem. And it's especially a problem because I mostly need it in the last few hours of sleep, that's when I actually had more apnea. I've quit using it for a while.

My only problem with the CPAP is the urge to say "Are you my mummy?" when I put it on. The cats don't get it. Or maybe they do and just aren't amused.

I can take a nap in a chair without my CPAP, but real sleep in my bed requires the machine. I took to it fairly well. I should get a new one, though.

I have the full face mask, does anyone use the nasal mask?

Today is still being Monday like. THREE of my practices had my software go down within an hour of each other. Except for all being in Boca Raton they had nothing in common. Different versions, different methods of access. Very odd. Virus warnings was the big clue. The 3 locations all had the same IT guy who had installed virus software that suddenly decided my software .exe was a virus. Only mine. Nothing else, so far as I know. So after about 20 minutes of pure panic, all was well again. I even called DH home from basketball practice. Grateful that I am a generally non panicky person, but that was not fun. eta: except for one machine all the others just deleted the exe and didn't even flash a warning.

I think 63 is way overdue for a mid-life crisis. Going to make a plan for that.... it will not involve tiny hot Korean pop stars.
