I'm still leaning toward the Kia
They seem to have a good rep. My car loving almost daughter said good things about them when we saw one on the road and I asked her. Random, but she follows cars more than anyone I know.
Thinking of you Dana and waiting for a better than anticipated report.
Oh, Monday. Why you gotta be?
For Chris Evans completists: an addition to his oeuvre coming soon. And it's nice and short!

Given the size of the deposit, it's being held for ten days, though they're going to release some of today or tomorrow. So it's not showing it.
That makes sense.
The rest of the day, not so much. I am completely non-productive today! Too much internet and not enough actual stuff done. I did however have an email exchange with a potential home buyer, so that was cool. She had posted a general interest in buying a house here with the Nextdoor page and I wrote back. She is getting married in June and she and fiance are moving back here from central FL where she was in school. She responded very enthusiastically because she grew in this neighborhood. I wrote back again with more details and mentioned a few of the old neighbors and stuff. Very friendly exchanges. I also cyberspied a bit to determine that she was a qualified candidate. Stressing that it would save everyone $$ if we sold the house before we list it again in June. So, who knows. Could happen.
I had to be up at 7 this morning in order to make it over to the office, unhitch the truck from the trailer, clear some equipment from the truck, and then get it over to the Ford dealer for a service appointment. The dealer gave me a ride back to the office, but there just isn't enough coffee for this Monday.
That Kia Niro looks really nice. Great fuel economy and it looks very utilitarian.
I'm glad that the money didn't just disappear, Connie.
Good luck with the potential home-buyer, Laura!
Ugh, ND. I can empathize.
Well, I put in half a day at the office and got permission to spend this afternoon and the next two days working from home. Yay!
I told my boss we were leaving and he was really nice about it. I was nervous, as I've had a rough year at work and my spouse was afraid he'd just let me go on the spot. I was a little worried about that, myself.
I gave him 60 days' notice and he asked if I would stay and work an extra month (through June) and I said I would. He said they would make it "interesting" for me, which hopefully means a bonus of some sort. $$$
I'm very glad that conversation is over with!
Wow, that's great, Scrappy!

That's also great!
But Laura possibly having a home buyer may be the greatest?
I guess we'll see how everything shakes out.
Glad it went well, Scrappy! Fingers crossed "interesting" means more $$ and not a troupe of mad clowns. (I don't know what you do. Circus, right?)
I took a half day and napped. Napping on a rainy day with cats, nothing's better. I haven't been sleeping well at all the last week or so, despite the CPAP on my face. I seem to be yanking it off without waking after a couple hours.
