So Thursday night I dreamed the cats were chasing a mouse down the hall.
This morning there was a dead mouse in the living room. I feel like if I was going to have a sort of prophetic dream it should have been more interesting.
That sort of complaint is classic fate-tempting, askye. Don't wish for more interesting prophecies!
We survived our garage sale and made about $500.00! We are RICH. We are both wiped the fuck out--it got up to about 90 today and being nice to strangers for five hours takes it out of a person.
My poor spouse seems to have acquired conjunctivitis, and he's at urgent care getting that checked out. I offered to go with him, but he went on his own. I am not doing anything, although I do have to get at cleaning the baseboards. ...at some point.
Wow, that's an impressive result! Sorry about the pinkeye, though.
I know. Poor dude.
That must have been some sale - I think the best we've ever done was about $200.
Yeah, pretty good, Scrappy! The most I've ever done is about 200$ too.
Ticket to Iceland has been acquired! Glaciers ho! I leave in 2 weeks!
Woo, Scrappy! That is some impressive garage sale-ing. Bummer about the eyes, though.
Woohoo, Zen! Have a wonderful time! I want to go back to Iceland so bad. Some day. Meanwhile, I highly recommend the tasting menu (I think that's what it's called, when the chef serves you a bunch of courses and you don't really make any decisions other than "I can't have X" and how many of the paired wines to have) at the restaurant Dill in Reykjavik. Amazingly good.
I went and looked up how much I have in the 401k that I haven't rolled over into my current employers' and it's twice as much as is in the current one, way more than I was remembering, and getting a better return, so I'm gonna leave it there and reduce my contributions for a while. The projection tools suggest my retirement income can handle that. Between that and decreasing my W-4 withholdings, I'm hoping to get my take home pay up where one paycheck will actually cover my monthly mortgage payment. That seems like it would simplify that whole sticking to a budget thing. Which I have been struggling with. To put it mildly.
Oh yikes, -t. Needing more than one paycheck to cover the mortgage sounds brutal.
Ooh, Zen! I want to go back to Iceland, too!!
