Lydia: Its removal from Burma is a felony and when triggered it has the power to melt human eyeballs. Giles: In that case I've severely underpriced it.

Me: I'm just giving you a hard time.

Male person: I want to give you one too.

Me: laughing. Of course you do. No.

I mean really.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

The couple in this morning's episode of Hoarders (don't judge me!) were named Chip and Dale. It slipped past me the first couple of times, until the narrator said them both together.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I feel that I should mention that I have not actually bothered with *every* CEvans movie! I am sure there is worse waiting for me in the wings.

Hoarders would hit to close to home for me to ever watch it. Literally.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So I went to IMDB, and now I want to see Fierce People, because, what???

I am going to go to IMDb, make a list, and then watch them all in order. I think I will live tweet it. For science.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Yes, science needs that.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

This has been one of those days when it's time, to quote Mencken, to start slitting throats (black flag optional).

Day started off with a message from the newest director that something HAD to go in our e-newsletter ... which goes out every Thursday morning. So I had our people hold it from going out, then had to try to pry information out of her ... only to have her be surprised that it was Thursday and so it didn't have to go out until next week.

Then I got slammed with three mass emails that HAD to go out today ... one from our executive director (so she took priority), one from the new director on behalf of the executive director, one from our conference people. So the conference people - who wanted to send out the message to people who've been asking about the thing - have to be pushed back to Monday. The second one was pushed to Friday. All went through multiple versions, one - the one that's going out tomorrow - came back (from the new director, of course) so convoluted I couldn't make head or tail of what she wanted.

Meanwhile, I'm trying to do the routine things that have to be done.

ack!
