I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

with a systolic BP of 120-124

Score! I'm almost always around 120. Thank god I've got something working for me.

Wow, quiet day.

So new note to self, when measuring a serving of meat, make sure your scale is showing ounces instead of grams. Little bit of a difference. But the good news is, I can eat more food today.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

A guy rang our doorbell at 3:45am this morning. The dogs went NUTS. Jason talked to him through the door and he asked for "A beer or money to buy a beer." He did not seem drunk, but who rings a stranger's doorbell at almost four in the morning?

Needless to say, I dragged my tired ass through work all day long. But I'm going home now!!

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Gary took me (and Mr. S) out to dinner for my birthday, and to celebrate the end of Passover. We went to a Greek place that does small dishes. Mmm, roast lamb...

Among the gifts he gave me is a sweatshirt that says "Science is my superpower!" Heh...

Rang the doorbell at 3:45AM? Damn, he's lucky you didn't sic the dogs on him! (OK, probably the dogs might just lick someone, I dunno, but)

I actually did a fair bit of work today. And ordered some friends little presents to be delivered, which I am super excited about.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

For serious, though.

I held open a door at the y for a tot-carrying woman whose face so resembled ita's, I first froze and then about 10 strides later teared up.Eyes, brows, nose, mouth, hair, freckles, complexion, the whole shape of her face, but shorter than me and local accent. It was something.

Oof, that kind of thing is hard.

It was also nice to recognize her face. You know, like it hasn't been blurred by time? A comfort, if you will. It was an immediate recognition, not my brain grasping to map a face. I hadn't been thinking of her. But I have been now.

"I saw your doppelgänger today, but she was short and flat chested. Oh, and 18 month old cutie on her hip. I forgot to check out her hands. But it was eerie!"

Ion, I have a crazy schedule ahead:3 days of daylong meeting, neighborhood wine night tomorrow, software quick fix (if they get it working.) I'm preemptively tired.
