Isn't it called Jumaji: Something Something? I thought it was more of a sequel than a remake.

Ok, yes. It is Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. Per IMDB
In a brand new Jumanji adventure, four high school kids discover an old video game console and are drawn into the game's jungle setting, literally becoming the adult avatars they chose. What they discover is that you don't just play Jumanji - you must survive it. To beat the game and return to the real world, they'll have to go on the most dangerous adventure of their lives, discover what Alan Parrish left 20 years ago, and change the way they think about themselves - or they'll be stuck in the game forever, to be played by others without break.
I was intrigued enough by the trailer that I'm interested in seeing it. Not sure if it will be theater worthy or wait for RedBox.
It has Karen Gillian and Mr. The Rock. I'm there. Maybe for a matinee.
It also has Kevin Hart, and Jack Black playing a spoiled teenage girl—a combination that has the potential to be the most annoying performance ever committed to live action film.

Not while Chris Tucker's filmography survives!
They remade Flatliners? Huh.

HA. Yep.
Not while Chris Tucker's filmography survives!
Tucker I can take, and even sometimes find funny (like in The Fifth Element). Black is usually unwatchable to me unless he's voicing an animated panda, and playing a whiny, entitled mean girl could very well vault him past Sacha Baron Cohen characters and Short Round.

My son HATES when they remake movies. He saw an ad for Flatliners and was telling me all about it, excited to see it. I told him "you know that originally came out in the 80's". "What!?" "Yep, with Kevin Bacon". "Ugh, now I don't want to see it". Whatever, kid.

With Grantchester! I realize that is not the character's name.
