Boyega is set to play Stacker Pentecost's son (!), the character played by Idris Elba on the first film.
Excellent news! Oh my.

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

I ended up watching Paddington today. Which was adorable, and had Peter Capaldi in it, which I did not know ahead of time.
The mnst disturbing thing about Paddington is Peter Capaldi's cockney accent.
It's a wonderful movie though. I had it on the No. 5 spot in my films of 2014, and it has only improved with age (it's now at No. 3).
Daaaaang.
Is Gordon going to be in spandex or have shirtless scenes? I mean, kudos to him for working out and getting stronger, but I'm dubious about that actually being a requirement for his particular role.
All I can think is, with that Santa Claus beard, that man needs to be more than 8 years older than me. Jeepers.
Quick Ryan share. Tonight we watched the Lego Movie (again). Some dialogue towards the end:
Emmett: "Look at all the things that people built. You might see a mess. For what I see are people inspired by each other, and by you. People take things from what you have, are making something new out of it."
Ryan: [nodding sagely] "That's called recycling."
