We're not gonna die. We can't die, Bendis. You know why? Because we are so very pretty. We are just too pretty for God to let us die.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

I am super earwormed now with 'Shiny'. Which was indeed shiny.

Who doesn't want their Disney villain to go full-on glam rock David Bowie, I ask you. I was like, "who is that singing, I know I've heard that voice somewhere before," and turns out he was played by Jemaine Clement of Flight of the Conchords fame. Seems a gimme in retrospect. I mean, who else would play him?

While we're on Clement, I finally watched What We Do in the Shadows. WHAT A DELIGHTFUL ROMP. Long-haired Jemaine Clement with his shirt open to the navel = surprisingly sexy. Or as Vlad would say, "dead but delicious." My excitement about the third Thor movie (directed by Taika Waititi) has now shot up by about 300%.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

My DH and I loved that movie and are still wont to say "We're werewolves, not swearwolves" at opportune moments.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

There's supposed to be a sequel (at some point, since Taika Waititi is so busy) called We're Wolves.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

I have THE BIGGEST CRUSH on Taika Waititi as a result of What We Do In The Shadows. I mean, I also really liked Boy And Hunt For The Wilderpeople, But WWDITS was fucking HILARIOUS. Except for Peter's tragic demise. Still not over that.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

To me, it was worth it for having Vlad ask if they should have the police do a walk-through to point out fire hazards before they left.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Me too! I've decided this is my favorite one except for the first which is the fourth. I'm still thinking about it.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Really? I was incredibly bored by everyone in it, except when I was being creeped out by the CGI.

I did like the droid, but the human characters were so meh, and the plot was not nearly as interesting as I wanted it to be. (Also, does Forrest Whittaker only do voices now? Am I imagining that he used to be a really good actor?)

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Is it worth seeing this in 3D?

Also, is there a lot of handheld camera work?

I think Forrest Whittaker is often a gimmacky actor, it is not a popular opinion.

I miss CGI in stuff a lot, I think. backgrounds that are greenscreened cityscapes or oceans are what get me.

I thought the acting was better than most SW films. I liked that it was a complete story: beginning, middle, end. I liked that it was messy.

Today I saw Edge of Seventeen and Moonlight. That was a lot of emotional emotion for one day.
