"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

Sorry for just jumping in, but I wrote some thoughts about "Sorry, Wrong Number"

You are always welcome, erikaj!

I love SWN. One of the few noirs that played on TV as a kid. Reading your perspective on it makes me realize it would make a good double feature with KIMI.

Always Anti-fascist!

I'm glad they have done a lot of restorations--makes classics easier to enjoy.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I watched 12 Angry Men last night, after somehow not doing so for my previous 57 years. I can see why it’s so highly esteemed. Plus, unexpected Jack Klugman was unexpected! I knew he hadn’t come into the world a slightly cranky old man from birth, but this movie was my first visual proof of that.

Sinners. Yep. It's good.

I need to get to a theater for it.

I’m not sure if I posted in Natter or just at Bluesky, but would anyone be interested in doing a movie club? Select a movie to all watch in the course of a month and then get together to discuss?

I’m actively working on filling movie gaps as well as working on an ever expanding Oscar list. If I can maintain recent efforts, I should be managing 3-5 movies a week.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Reposting from Natter - what's the gore/blood factor?

Some of both. What movies have you found to hit your maximum level of comfort with them without exceeding it? That might help me judge if it's going to be overly so for you.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I'm interested in a monthly movie, msbelle. I've been defaulting to other entertainments most of the time lately, but when I do manage to watch something (ie, Conclave this weekend) I am reminded that I like watching movies and like talking about movies. Having an external motivation to watch a particular movie would be good for me, I am sure

How did you like Conclave? I thought there was some great cinematic choices in shots, but hated the ending.

I loved a *lot* of the visuals. So striking. Glad I watched it.

I was surprised how compelling the plot was, even though I had a hard time remembering which old white guy was which. Why did you hate the ending?
