To be fair Jupiter Ascending is pretty entertaining, though not for the reasons they probably thought.
Buffista Movies Across the 8th Dimension!
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
That'll give you bees.
Photos from the upcoming remake of The Crow have been released, and that sure was a choice made for the look of Eric. I feel ita wouldn't have approved.
We watched VelociPastor last night, and it is as delightfully terrible as everyone says. The best part is that the internet tells me there's going to be a VelociPastor 2, which has already finished principal photography. What a time to be alive.
Related movies that Amazon suggested were Llamageddon and Clownado. (We did not watch those, although I do love the name "Llamageddon.")
If you love languid pacing, loving close-ups of hands preparing French food, and Juliette Binoche's naked butt, find a theatre showing The Taste of Things.
Should I go see the new Ghostbusters if I haven't watched the last one yet? Presumably I could stream the last one and catch up first but I have not felt like doing that.
I mean, I don’t expect great storytelling, but I’m wondering if Burton is going to use this as an opportunity to get visually creative in a way that he hasn’t in decades, or is he just going to phone it in?
I realize it's basically just a teaser, but there's nothing in that first trailer that makes me interested in seeing it or understand why there needs to be a sequel beyond Jenna Ortega being a believable daughter for Lydia/Winona Ryder.
ETA: I also wonder if Ortega has to worry about getting shoehorned into the "goth girl" roles after Wednesday and this.
This seemed relevant to our interests.
