"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

I wish. They added a tragic backstory where her MARRIED lover was killed in WWI.

Miss Marple would NEVER.

See this is why I generally stick to the books. I have actually seen very few adaptations.

Special one-night theatrical release of the remastered version of The Abyss [link]

I may have to go, if only for my young crush on both Ed Harris and Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio

Our wings are not tired.

I'll have to watch that again. I had watched The Abyss too soon after I read the book and was seriously aggravated over the missing parts. It has now been enough time that I can watch it for the beauty of the film without that factor to distract me.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

I'm so tempted by The Abyss, but I'm not sure I can justify taking the kids out that late on a school night.

Miss Marple would NEVER.
No indeed, she would not.

I'm less attached to Poirot, as I read fewer of those. So I'm fine with Branagh's version. And I really liked A Haunting in Venice. I found it genuinely suspenseful.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

We watched it last night. It was fun. (After I got over "WHO is playing Ariadne Oliver?")

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I liked that casting!

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Here to report that the theatrical showing of the Broadway musical *Waitress* was as charming and enjoyable as the movie originally was. I think there's another showing tonight if anyone is interested.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

Agreed. Some of that music was so fabulous.
