The Last of Sheila is definitely clunky in parts, but it's a boatload of fun if you are in the mood.

Rian Johnson mentioned that Glass Onion borrows heavily from the film The Last of Sheila, which was co-written by Sondheim and Anthony Perkins, and I had never heard of. I’ll be renting it this week.
Yes it does. What fascinates me with Johnson is how he is able to completely lift the shell of an old story (HERCULE POIROT'S CHRISTMAS for KNIVES OUT and THE LAST OF SHEILA for GLASS ONION) and come up with something that is completely fresh and modern but also somehow very faithful to the spirit of the source.

This is definitely the least important thing about Glass Onion, but I keep seeing people on the internet say that Blanc's lack of reaction to the throat spray at the beginning is because he's gay or whatever, but do they not know that straight women suck dick, too? No, it's just because he's unflappable!

I thought that was a weird interpretation too, but, then again, I don't understand why most people don't seem to have picked up the 50 million other clues to his sexuality that were on display. Also, I find it hilarious that people online in these discussions seem to assume "gay" and "married" are mutually exclusive. I mean, really.

I was wondering if everyone involved was quite as confident they were “all good” at the end of their stay on the island as the beginning. I'm not sure it'll qualify as "good," but I honestly don't care. It looks like it'll fill that cheesy-and-kinda-bad-but-therefore-awesome role occupied by Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters.
