It's not any kind of biopic, it's a 2+ hour music video with some narration edited in in vaguely chronological order. Which I honestly loved - Bowie's music and stage presence are very well suited to 2 hours of No Plot Just Vibes in IMAX.

Buffista Movies Across the 8th Dimension!
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
Bros was funny and kind of sweet, but involved way too many hectoring gay history lectures and rants about, well, everything from Billy Eichner's character. He really should have taken some marginalized people's mantra of "it's not my responsibility to educate you" to heart, it might have driven smaller crowds away.
Ah well, I can at least hope its marketing push brings Luke MacFarlane to the attention of casting agents who should have been sending him scripts for the past decade.
And I did win the game of subconscious roulette, dreaming last night about dating Luke rather than Billy shudder.
rants about, well, everything from Billy Eichner's character
I mean, "rants about everything" is kind of his entire brand, so that isn't surprising.
brings Luke MacFarlane to the attention of casting agents who should have been sending him scripts for the past decade
He's been getting scripts...for Hallmark & Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channels. So I think you meant to say *good* scripts.
He was on Killjoys, which was super fun, but it's not really part of the leading man pipeline.
Yeah, apparently he was a lead on an obscure Canadian sitcom and a regular on a PBS period drama in between Brothers & Sisters and Killjoys as well as all the Hallmark Christmas movies. But this is the first time he's been able to audition for the lead in a major studio film, and that's really a shame.
He should be a bigger name, for sure.
Black Adam is Warner Bros.’ most brutal superhero letdown yet
I don't care Black Adam or The Rock, but I did have a passing interest in seeing Dr. Fate and Hawkman. I think I'll wait for HBO Max.
I'm worried DC is going to pull a Batgirl with the Blue Beetle movie.
