Buffista Movies Across the 8th Dimension!
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
Just got back from it, and it was SO wonderful! I am really liking that the Russo Bros. have now worked with Michelle Yeoh as the lead actress; I hope that leads to more movies that feature her similarly.
Finally saw The Tragedy of Macbeth. Very cool, especially the last couple of sword fights. Macbeth coming at wossname all unarmed was badass. Made me want to rewatch Throne of Blood and maybe Orson Welles’ version. I might need to do a Macbeth-athon at some point.

"What are you watching tonight?"
"Bleak. Times Three."
Oh, I don’t know that I’d call it bleak. It’s kind of comforting, in a way, that the Macbeths can’t really handle being usurping murderers and I’m sure Banquo’s descendants were all good and just rulers and nothing bad ever happened to Scotland again.

That's how I understand Scottish history.
I went and saw The Unbearable Something of Whatever today after getting my 2nd booster because the timing worked out well that way. I enjoyed Nic Cage playing with his image very much, but the action movie aspect didn’t work great for me.
I need to watch the latest Spider-Man before Dr Strange, right?
It's not a bad idea. And it's a good movie.
I need to watch the latest Spider-Man
You can just end your sentence right there. It's so good.
Ok! I guess since I missed it in the theater it has been hard to pull the trigger on renting it at home, but I will get on that soon
