Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

We're also trying to catch up on Good Movies We Missed. Just watched The Great Santini, which I'd never seen. Excellent performances, including the kids. I adored watching baby Lisa Jane Persky being delightful snarky.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

We finally watched The Death of Stalin, and wow was that a good time. Jason Issacs, in particular, is the best, but the entire cast is amazing. I enjoyed how the movie highlighted the absurdity of the USSR while not shying away from how terrible it was. I was also unsurprised to find it had been based on a French graphic novel.

We loved that and agree on Isaacs. He is having so much FUN with his role!

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I watched Eat Locals the other night. Not quite the laugh fest the trailer had made me anticipate as most of the humor is very dry satire, but it was pretty enjoyable. My main takeaways were (1) Tony Curran sure seems to play vampires a lot; (2) Eve Myles only irritates me as Gwen Cooper, not in other roles; and (3) Charlie Cox is adorable.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

One of the broadcast channels shows old(er) movies and recently I got to see Love Bites. Adam Ant being pretty adorable as a vampire waking up from a couple of centuries of sleep to deal with 1990s America.

Oh, I knew this would hit your preferences. It's a cute movie and he's cute in it. Also has a very young Michelle Forbes (as the vampire who turned him) ... twice!

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I was reading someone else's issue of Vanity Fair and there was an article about a new movie of Dune. Timothee Chalmet (did I spell that right?) will be Paul, Zendaya will be Chani, can't remember the rest.

Has anyone else heard about this?

That cast is so fucking pretty.
