I love Jo's Boys! I mean, I am pretty vocal that Old Fashioned Girl is my favorite favorite, but Little Men and Jo's Boys are worth it! Although I think it is possible Jo's Boys involves a love story between an 18 year old and someone possibly underage... I would have to reread to figure out the ages, but a rough and tumble youth comes back to Jo's house and falls in love (mutually) with Amy and Laurie's daughter. It is also totally possible he is 16 and she is 14. It is interesting because Laurie and Amy are still pretty class conscious, so they really struggle with their daughter falling in. Love with an orphan with few prospects.

Buffista Movies Across the 8th Dimension!
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
but that was what Jo used the money she made in NY for. It wasn't a day trip, although the movie does kind of make it look that way.
Ooh, is that from the book? If so, I will totally bust my mother. (I have never read it; she is a big fan.)

It's definitely in the book.
Ha HA!
I thought the trip to the beach was when Beth was so sick, but I don't remember Amy going with them? Man, I need to get to this movie.
Saw both UNCUT GEMS and LITTLE WOMEN this weekend with my sister. Very different films but both excellent and very much in line with their respective directors previous work.
I am not a fan of LITTLE WOMEN in general but I love what Gerwig did with it. And, while it should be taken into consideration that I am currently minutes away from Concord, I was actually thrilled that we had to wait days to get tickets that didn't put us in the front row.
Just saw Little Women and found it delightful. I don't remember the book very well, I only read it once, as a kid, so if it wasn't a faithful adaptation, I don't care. I enjoyed it a lot.
I honestly want to see Little Women more than I want to see Rise of Skywalker.
Same, Teppy. I'm pretty much just going to ignore SW:RoS
I am on the fence about seeing the new star wars movie. Matthew wants to see it but I don't like Abrams at this point and don't like what I'm hearing about the movie.
I was never a fan of Little Women that I can remember so I will probably skip that. I'm sure I read Little Women but I don't remember being caught up in it.
