Pretty cool except for the part where I was really terrified and now my knees are all dizzy.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

For those who do like cats (the animals, not this particular iteration), it's based on T.S. Eliot's book of poems, "Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats" ... which I expect will come out in a new version once the movie hits

It does say "Based on T.S. Eliot" in the trailer.

The trailer is a little creepy, but I have no intention of ever seeing it, and have never seen the original, so no harm, no foul for me.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Well, here's a trailer that shouldn't horrify you.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

(Can you imagine Cats the musical with a Murderbiscuit? CAN YOU???)

So many red ribbons

Bwah!

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

I just want more of the Fathom Event things where they show filmed Broadway productions. Why hasn't there been one of these for Wicked? Whyyyyyy?

IT Chapter Two: I'm the scariest trailer you'll see all day!

Cats: Hold my milk

Ha!

I feel the IT Chapter Two trailer is scarier, but, y'know, clowns. That weird "vintage clown doll" laughing noise throughout is 1) accurate as hell, 2) NIGHTMARE FUEL, and 3) still echoing in my head from watching the trailer yesterday.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Re: the plot of Cats:

Excuse me, there is a sub-plot where the head boss cat gets kidnapped...and then brought back.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

IT IS THE SAME PLOT YES

I have to assume the movie was a direct inspiration for the musical since the Ustinov character is basically constantly quoting Eliot's poems.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

My copy of Old Possum has illustrations by Nicholas Bentley. I've had it forever--but I'd love to have the Gorey one.

I'd never seen a dilute calico cat before, and the little stray looked like she'd been splashed with paint; she had spots, or dots. I named her Jennyanydots. She was with us 15 years.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I'm also watching Logan's Run for the first time, and honestly, I'd rather be watching Cats.
