But seriously, I suspect it's like that awful John Cusack movie from a few years ago, where he played a Roman centurion.
We saw that recently. It's bad, though Cusack comes across better than Oscar winner Adrian Brody.
'Objects In Space'
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

I saw the first New Trek movie, I did not see the second one. I may see this one. Is it a rehashed TOS story that they decided to rewrite because they know better? (no, I'm not bitter)
Connie, no, it's not rehashed; it's all new. You can put that last monstrosity right out of your mind.
I think I've seen those Twinkies around here, Epic. I'll keep an eye out when I go grocery shopping this weekend.
Thanks, Sail!
Good to hear the positive reviews of Star Trek, going to see it tonight.
P.S. Sail, is Ellen M. on Fitbit you?

Oh, for fucks sake. Harley Quinn's hotpants digitally altered in Suicide Squad: [link]
Yes, I'm Ellen M. on Fitbit.
eta: Welp, wasn't gonna watch Suicide Squad, anyway. More reason not to, now.
I don't know what the heck is going on with my local independent theater -- they never had Ghostbusters, and have Bourne on the big screen this week. Star Trek is in a smaller theater. So I guess I'll see The Lobster!
The Lobster, you guys. Anyone else see it? That was some weird shit, and either the perfect or the worst movie to see alone.
I've been debating. Based on my boyfriend's description, I didn't think I'd like it, but I feel I'll regret not seeing it.
Yeah, I was interested, but a friend said she found it deeply unpleasant and upsetting.
