My Oscar watch efforts are officially underway. Plan is to watch 3 identical strangers tonight, If Beale St Could Talk and Spider-Verse tomorrow. Roma one evening this week. Then see if any of the foreign language are showing in area on the weekend.

Three Identical Strangers is so good.

The Math Greek was up this weekend and the Indie Spirit screeners are all online now so we were able to watch Shoplifters, Minding the Gap, and Support the Girls, which were all very good in different ways. Shoplifters was exceptional. We usually watch more than that but due to my having to work we weren't able to get to Beale Street or The Tale unfortunately.

I saw On the Basis of Sex tonight. It was... fine. A bit by the numbers, really. But the cast was fine, and the clothes were great. Really, RBG is more inspirational.

I had heard the same from a friend who does film reviews. It is low on my Oscar Watch list as a result.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Can someone who's seen Boy Erased tell me (in spoiler font) if I'm going to end up horribly depressed by it?
