Always Anti-fascist!

I'm an Entourage fan...I've got to see it eventually, right?

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Oral History of the Making of Working Girl

Fun read with lots of fun juicy tidbits, anchored by collective affection of everyone involved for the great Mike Nichols. Gosh, this takes me back. I loved the film when it came out, but haven't thought about it in years and years. Annnnd now I have "Let the River Run" stuck in my head.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

So, Aquaman was a lot of fun. I'm not sure it's good, but it fully commits to its premise, and for that I give it a lot of credit. The underwater scenes are BONKERS in the best way. Jason Momoa is well-cast.

I would recommend seeing it in 2-D IMAX if you can, because it's pretty spectacular visually, and the soundtrack is very loud and boomy with a lot of seat-vibrating bass.

There is a post-credits thing but it's not really worth sticking around for.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'll be seeing Aquaman tonight. Looking forward to it! I hope we get a MIB International preview.

Always Anti-fascist!

I watched "Desk Set" again today. I liked it a lot...always amazing when ideas connect across generations.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

I watched "Desk Set" again today.

I love that movie so much.

Always Anti-fascist!

So much more subtle(in a good way) than today's romcoms. Also, appreciate that nobody took a pratfall to show off their flaws.

Aquaman was about as cheesy as Clash of the Titans, but in the best possible way. It leaned WAY the hell in to the cheesiness, which was the best thing it could have done. Lots of fun.

I loved that it didn't hold back. You think Aquaman is corny? HERE'S A FUCKING OCTOPUS PLAYING THE DRUMS.

Though as I said to a friend on the way out, on principle I'm against movies where the primary goal is to put Jason Momoa INTO a shirt.
