Well some friends of Buffy played a funny joke and they took her stuff and now she wants us to help get it back from her friends who sleep all day and have no tans.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

We finally saw Venom, and I don't know what I expected, but that was DELIGHTFUL. And fairly gay.

Mr. Scola’s wardrobe by Botany 500

I have the day off tomorrow, so I'm going to see a screening of Mauvais Sang, starring a 22-year-old Juliette Binoche.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

RIP William Goldman.

Our wings are not tired.

Thank you for the most excellent entertainment, Mr. Goldman. RIP

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

On the brighter (I hope) side, they're making a movie of Rolling in the Deep by Mira Grant (aka Seanan McGuire).

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

All dead or mostly dead?

Sorry, it had to be said. I very much admired Mr Goldman.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Inconceivable!

Wreck It Ralph 2 was fantastic. Lots of funny internet/video game sight gags, but also I think folks here would love it because at its heart it's a film about finding your tribe on the internet, and the Big Bad is the comments section.

There is one scene towards the end that had my 11 year-old hiding under his seat. It's not explicitly scary as such, but it is definitely a Pink Elephants moment and creepy as fuck. (He got over it enough to watch the movie twice, so not a lifelong trauma, but it did give him one night of troubled sleep.)

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Anyone see the Fantastic Beasts sequel? I really liked the first one, but this has been getting iffy reviews, not to mention the Depp issue (although I will say that people we know close to that story say that although he is an alcoholic and probably terrible to live with, Heard manipulated and lied about the abuse and she's a really REALLY bad person).
