It was fun, though I didn't feel it was a movie that HAD to be seen on the big screen. There's a guest star that's definitely worth some belly laughs.
Buffista Movies Across the 8th Dimension!
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
I thought it was a fun ride.
So I've been reading reviews of Joss Snyder's [sic] Justice League, and I started wondering what the DC movies would be like if Dwayne McDuffie were still alive and helping to make them.
Now I'm really sad.
I did go see Kingsman 2 last night. I quite enjoyed it. I think I liked it better than the first. It seemed more lighthearted. Maybe that's just the mood I was in , but I liked it better having fun and taking itself even less seriously.
Now I'm sad, too, Scola.
Man, if only...
Because I've seen a ridiculous number of excellent 2017 movies in the last six weeks, here they are, ranked (roughly) from 1 to 10:
Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri
Wind River
Blade Runner 2049
The Shape of Water
Visages, Villages (Faces Places)
Mudbound
The Blackcoat's Daughter (February)
Novitiate
I, Tonya
Thor: Ragnarok
I want to see several of those, megan!
I, Tonya, and Three Billboaords and Shape of Water particularly.

I, Tonya, and Three Billboaords and Shape of Water particularly.
I predict you will like all three: the in-your-face sass of I, Tonya, the rage of Three Billboards, and the Caro & Jeunet look of The Shape of Water.
I predict you will like all three:
I like those odds.
I still have to sneak off to the theater to see Lady Bird.
I still have to sneak off to the theater to see Lady Bird.
As do I. And The Florida Project. And Sacred Deer.
