I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Hooray K-Bug!

That is ridiculous, reversing a scholarship after graduation.

I got a last minute testing scenario at work around half an hour, maybe less, before I was supposed to leave. On the one hand, I am annoyed to have one more thing to do, and with a tight deadline, and argh. On the other, I am excited about how this thing will improve my workflow if it works. So, mixed feelings. Left work an hour or so late, which is a drag, but still have a few minutes to get myself together and head out to the movies without being late...

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Right on K-Bug! Board Certified!

(Okay, i kind of said that in my head like Zeke from Bob's Burgers for anybody who watches that show.)

Tep, do you have the option of laying out his article in multicolored Fink Heavy so it will convey the proper authorial tone of a tantrum-throwing kindergartener?

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I had a professor who had a strict 2,000-word limit for most papers. He'd draw a line at the 2,001st word and write, "This paper has no conclusion."

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

How did he count the words?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Congrats, K-Bug!

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Man, I wish!

Y'all were talking a bit back about some journal/bullet thing. I didn't look it up, but it reminded me of how I used to keep a small notebook with running lists in college. Things to get, do, contacts. Grcceries, sizes, tasks, ideas, things to look up, major projects, upcoming appt so. Each day, I'd cross out the previous date at the top of the page, draw a line (or turn a page) and write a new date, transfer the un-addressed to the next day, cross those off the previous, add anything new. I'm trying it again. Used to have cute notebooks, but starting cheap. 4x6" for 88 cents. We'll see if it helps or makes me more crazy.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Thanks for the birthday wishes, everyone! It was fun and I am happy and quite tired. (There were no asshooks, Hec. Totally the wrong crowd for that!)

Steph, that author is a dickweasel. I feel your rage.

Sarameg, that's how I do my ongoing to-do journal thing. Everything in one journal, cross off what I've done, carry over the rest. Simplest thing.

Bedtime.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I had my monthly meeting with my boss and told her all about my new adventure in bullet journaling, and she told me how she takes notes all the time and then files them and never looks at them again. Fun.

Not as fun as Fury Road, though. That was amazing! OMG! And Consuela was super awesome and ordered me food so I wouldn't miss the beginning or starve (I missed my stop because I am missing d of an idiot and got the o the theater after a be start time but before previews were done). I assume the adrenaline rush will last long enough to get me home...
