Reavers ain't men. Or they forgot how to be. Now they're just nothing. They got out to the edge of the galaxy, to that place of nothing, and that's what they became.

Punishingly Intricate

We finally took the dog to get a bath today. I feel like we should get some type of award. On top of the clean dog one, I mean. Man, she was stinky.

Those are cute boots, sara! I've been wanting to get new winter boots. Mine are pretty good but they are too short! And they're 7 years old so I think I can justify replacements. PLUS we're going to Iceland this winter! I think I want these:

Although one of my friends we're going with is getting them so that might be weird. I'll have to check with her.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I made my sausage-kale-mushroom-cheddar savory bread pudding, and it's lovely. So tasty.

tickets purchased. thank dog.

I'll bet that's a relief!

I think I'm about to my San Francisco-Hyderabad-Dublin trip on my work credit card. Then I need to figure out where I'm staying, but I can worry about that tomorrow.

Travel plans, yay! I need to make some of those. I like Sorel boots, though I have never had reason to own any.

So many delicious dinners.

I used to cut my own hair when I wore it layered. The cut I have now I would not mess with, but it also grows out well so I'm not even tempted. It's slightly too long right now, but a little Ezra product and styling effort does fine and is, y'know, reversible.

Shit. I need a visa to travel to India. I guess I'll be figuring that out tomorrow, too.

That which does not kill you should RUN

I only trim my own bangs (and probably not super well at that).

I'm also here to tell you that reheated tater tots are soggy. Boo.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Well, no clean house and no exercise for me today. Blew a tire this afternoon on my way to pick up my mother for lunch and errand running. Hit a rock and within the span of 400 feet and one minute the left rear tire was flat. Two plus hours later, the car was towed and I was back out trying it again. Lunch turned into dinner, and a three hour Target trip. Didn't get home until almost 10.

Yay, Rome! This international trip planning reminds me that I have to renew my passport. My Italian one is valid, but my American one expired in September.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Just reading about all this travel is making both tired and a little jelly. But in a good way. Well, not the tired part, that's just tired.

So went to the intermediate Tai Chi class today. Was a bit lost but didn't really mind as I was able to learn the parts when she slowed things down and went over some of the sections. I am okay with waiting for it to all become clear eventually. I think I just like the names and then movements and thinking about the implications. Like Change is Difficult. And today we did something about monkeys. Monkey See, Monkey Do?

Oh, I remember having a teacher who would say the names of the postures as we went through the forms. Poetic, as I recall, and often helpful for remembering what I was supposed to be doing. Cloud Hands. Play the Lute; Strum the Guitar. Something about cranes. And horses. And, yes, monkeys, though I forget what it was.

Right, passports, mine expires soon. Should definitely renew.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Said by Ryan tonight: "I love apostrophes." (He was writing out a sentence containing there/their/they're, and was most pleased to discover it was they're.)
