We had a wonderful summer weekend: work BBQ at the pool and tennis on Saturday, impromptu sail with friends on Sunday afternoon. Now Monday seems to quiet. But I do need to motivate myself to do some work so I can feel virtuous later.
This week represents a parenting fail on our parts: we managed to sign up one kid for camp but not the other. So I can't let having a kid at home keep me from working, but I also can't let him get so bored he pops! This will be a challenge, but oh well.
NorCal peeps, I may need to be in Sacramento next Tuesday. SMF is expensive. Are there any alternatives within reasonable driving distance? OAK? SJC? SFO?
Oakland is two hours away from Sac but if it's a work trip won't they just pay for the actual airport you need to visit?
I'm surprised SMF is expensive, it's often been a cheaper alternative for me. OAK is about a two hour drive to Sacto, longer if there's traffic. That's the closest.
It's being combined with another trip to Denver for a presentation on Wednesday. The multi-city itinerary is coming in at ~$1000 because of my required travel times.
Trying to figure out if there's a significant difference...
I'm supposed to be doing something and I'm not doing it. I'm not doing anything. Trip to grocery store took most of my spoons. Maybe I need coffee.
I haven't had my tea yet. Better fix that.
I guess since I've been buying mason jars and associated paraphernalia, Amazon has started recommending "prepper" books to me. I don't know how to feel about that.
Having a wine flight & sandwich in Austin. Flight due into BWI same time as storms. Great.
