Whatever happened to the god old days days when a refrigerator could withstand an atomic bomb and keep the contents safe and unharmed?
After the fall of the Berlin Wall and the dissolution of the East German Refrigerator Training Program, there was a significant setback in refrigerator resilience and strength.
Dammit, I was looking for the Like button on Matt's post again. Oh, Facebook, how you have ruined us.
Oh, boy. Another afternoon in medical limbo. Some medical supplies that were supposed to arrive today didn't, because apparently the company had a prescription that said I wasn't due for more until the end of the week. No one mentioned this to me until I called to see where my order was. I was told last week that I could pick up supplies at the hospital if mine didn't arrive in time, but when I called the hospital number I had, they had no idea what I was talking about. I got transferred several times and was told someone would call me back. I neglected to get a number, and no one called me back. Now it's too late to do anything about it. I'm so tired of this crap. Also, I wish I had something more interesting to say about my life.
Remember when we debated having that feature on this board? All the social capital discussions?
Ginger, I'm so sorry you're getting caught in bureaucratic red tape incompetence, again.
Thanks, Maria. I'm glad things have settled down at your job and you've gotten proper recognition, too.
I want a nap. I'm sure no one will notice if I take one, there are so many extra lying around.
I don't know how anyone can manage to live a normal life while managing a major disease.
I'm not managing to live a normal life; I'm hardly even managing the medical side.
omg it is band concert night and my parents can't come which means I have no one to sit with and I do not want to, but I want to be supportive of mac (even though he will tell me to my face he doesn't want me there). This is EXACTLY the type of thing where I resent not being in NYC. In NYC I would not have to drive and I could get good and tipsy and go and it would be so many people I could probably listen to podcasts or something the whole concert.
not winning parent of the year.
I'm so sorry, Ginger. You shouldn't have all these damn hurdles to just getting your damn treatment. Argh.
I ended up staying at the dentist for about 5 hours, but the new crowns are completely installed and were not nearly as much trouble as the broken tooth. I don't have any problems that can't wait to be addressed until May. And my gums are apparently in pretty good shape. Yay.
Of course, now I haven't eaten since breakfast and I'm starving but eating kinda seems like a bad idea. But I'll get over that before too long, one way or another.
