Hey, preaching to the choir. I thought our Lady of the Perpetual Sea Breeze was the real deal until the Divine Miss J walked right through that door and right into my ass—which is where my heart is…physiologically. I could show you an x-ray.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

YAYAYAYAY Maria!!! That is a huge relief. And seriously, now you can take a breath and think about what's next.

The Chairman of the Board called me himself with the news.

FRANK???

My weekend plans are minimal and the usual -- cooking, laundry, dad. Maybe going to design my new front yard? Maybe Target?

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Weekend plans: partying with Buffistas! Liese is in town, so a small gathering is happening tomorrow, which is also my birthday. M says Rose wants to make me a pumpkin pie, and who am I to crush a young child's dreams?

Otherwise, a massive amount of laundry, pretty much. And I need to actually decide on what to do about Rose's Halloween costume. (She has told us at various times that she wants to be a ghost, a flamingo, and a "mummy monkey." At least one of them is pretty easy?)

And YAY Maria! What a relief. I'm so happy for you.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

So what is everyone doing this weekend? I am working so I need to live vicariously through you.

Going to a "Gothic Witches' Ball" with the StuntHusband. (We don't have high hopes for the event, but it's an excuse to dress up and flounce around.) And on Sunday night I'm going to see Crimson Peak again.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Aw, that sounds so great, Kate!

Oh, hey, I could almost be a flamingo. Almost. I have hot pink tights and a hot pink boa, surely I could be a flamingo-something with that...

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

FRANK???

Hee. Start spreadin' the news....

I have a cut and color appointment tonight, and the town Halloween parade tomorrow (so I have to work in the shop), and Sunday, we have a 4-year old's birthday party. Regardless, it's going to be a fabulous weekend.

I guess I really didn't believe my boss when he said that I'm very highly regarded in the company. In addition to the call from the CotB, I got emails or calls from the VP, CEO, National Accounts Manager, and the CHRO. I'm the first person that they've ever handed out a second PIP extension to, and I'm the first in over 10 years to survive a PIP. It's nice, but part of me is like why put me through it in the first place?

Hm, through accidental experimentation I have determined that 1 Tylenol and 1 Advil is sufficient for my current mouth soreness, but 2 Advil is not.

Yeah, that is gratifying and also kind of odd, Maria.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

This weekend I have things to do on both Saturday and Sunday, and Sunday's thing involves exercise (but also wine, and cheese). I hope I survive.

I just signed up for one of the class actions against Volkswagen (fuckers), and one of the questions was when I bought the car. I didn't know off the top of my head, and the paperwork is all at home, but I was able to find the answer in one of the old Natter threads. Yay old Natter threads.

hip deep in pie

So what is everyone doing this weekend?

As little as possible. Farmer's market, going for walks, sleeping. Probably continuing the battle against fleas.
