Buffy: He ran away, right? Giles: Sort of, more. turned and swept out majestically, I suppose. Said I didn't concern him. Buffy: So a mythic triumph over a completely indifferent foe? Giles: Well, I'm not dead or unconscious, so I say bravo for me.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

meara, I agree, but it's bad writing not to at least mention where the kids are.

Oh, I totally agree, it's ridiculous--they don't even have to pay the kid actors/show them, just a mention of where they are....

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Yipes, yes, scary hurricane!

Also yipes on the rough night's sleep, brenda. My sleep was all screwy too, not sure why. I went to bed at 11, which is good, but for some reason I couldn't stay asleep. I woke up at 3:30 and was still awake at 4 and then finally dozed off but woke up again around 5ish before I finally true fell back asleep. And then was jarred awake by my alarm of course!

I think I went to bed around 1030 (might now have slept until 11? Forget how long I played solitaire!) and got up at 8ish. After hitting snooze a few times.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Holy shit, I'm safe. My job is saved. We just won a major contract. Work gave me the rest of the day off, and permission to expense a nice dinner and drinks with whomever I want.

JFC, I don't have to live my life in 30-day increments anymore. I'm not sure what to do with myself.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Woohoo!

So awesome! (And yay nice dinner!) that's such a relief.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

So very glad for you, Maria, but oh how you deserve an employer who sees your true worth and lets you live your life in good solid years-long increments instead of that 30-day bullshit.
