I hope you made it, shrift!

Thanks! I just made it to my connecting gate with 5 minutes to spare. Customs wasn't that bad, but they made me go back through Security again. Boooo.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Aw, man, the magic doughnut fairy didn't bring doughnuts this morning.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

My boss is taking a vacation day and I have a question that I don't know who else to ask. Hm. Maybe I'll wait and see if my grandboss comes around to say hi and ask him...

Back through Security after going through Customs? That's dumb. But glad you made it!

Oy, Jesse. Good luck with that.

Doughnut fairy needs to stop slacking.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Overslept by an hour this morning—the combination of whiny cat meowing constantly outside my bedroom and chill cat getting snuggly after my alarm went off inside did me in.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Here's a learning from this week: squash bread with peanut butter is a more satisfying breakfast than an English muffin with cheese. So I guess I'll make more bread this weekend, because I definitely have more squash!

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

That sounds good, Jesse.

I overslept by 2 hours yesterday because of snuggly cat. But it is such a nice, cozy sleep.

It cooled off enough last night that my cats were thinking about getting snuggly but ultimately it was still too warm. They did sit closer to me on the couch, though.

I woke up just fine this morning but right now i would love to go back to bed. And I'm all out of cream and would really like some in my tea. And have neither squash bread nor doughnuts. Wah.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I tried to take a nap yesterday before picking up Squeaky, but I couldn't get to sleep. It felt weird without Squeaky, as she likes to sleep on my wrist and hand while I sleep.

So, because I would rather think about my friends' wedding, than my job, a survey question: They didn't register for many items, and I wonder if that's because they both come from communities where cash is the expected wedding gift. I have a couple of nice cut-glass bowls my grandmother bought for gifts, which would go nicely with a cut-glass decanter they did register for. Would it be weird to give them a glass bowl?? I have never given a non-registry gift in my life, but I understand it is a fine thing to do. But would I be that weird friend who gave them a random bowl???

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I think it would be fine.
