Amy, glad you are there for support, sorry it's required. Shit is scary.
Was vindicated in leaving work at the start of aliveness test for new software. Got home from pool in time for "it's working" rather than twiddling thumbs for 2.75 hrs after a gruesome start (dear IT: when we ask you to mount all the disks, MOUNT ALL OF THEM.) If it had gone bad, another story. But even then, would've tossed to dev and they coulda tweaked the files I was in charge of.
Much ma amyth and friends.
Thanks, everyone. He's been admitted. We got to ride in the ambulance with him from the ER in the Village to the hospital on the UES where he'll be staying for the next few days. And we all finally got to eat for the first time since this morning, so we're all feeling way more human, even though nothing much has changed. The nurses said that a doctor will probably be by sometime tonight to check on him. He hasn't been hooked up to any monitors again since he got off the ambulance. But the doctor who checked him out of the ER was awesome. She's the one who talked him into staying for a C-T scan, even though he thought he didn't need it, and that's how they found the clots. She said he'll probably have to stay on blood thinners for a year.
I am watching Kathleen Madigan and Lewis Black drink wine and do commentary on the debate on this thing called periscope. They are hilarious together, and now I sort of want Lewis black Kathleen Madigan rpf.
Weird cross post. I am glad you have all eaten, amy, and everyone is settled in for the night b
I sort of want Lewis black Kathleen Madigan rpf.
They actually dated in real life for a little while.
Amy, I'm passing along the pulmonary embolism ~ma to Gabe. Scary shit.
-t, relieved that your coworkers son is okay. That's also scary shit.
I think i have PTSD from my job. Steph, if authors who couldn't figure out a PDF could be murdered through the internet,I'd have killed a lot of professors.
