I hate to break it to you, oh impotent one, but you're not the big bad anymore, you're not even the kind of naughty.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I did not stay in yesterday despite the soreness because it was the last day of my beach weekend, but I pretty much plan on not moving off the couch today except to forage food from the fridge. Everything for the baby is set up so I don't have to move from here to tend her needs. TCG has my car today because someone hit his parked car hard enough last week to take his side mirror off. So, I really couldn't go anywhere even if I wanted to.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

-t, oh my! What happened?

I came in this AM and there was no air conditioning site wide. What that means, is that 5000 students and probably 500 adults were going to have to work without AC on a day that was supposed to be close to the 90s. Then the air kicked back in within the last 10 minutes.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

We don't really know what happened or how bad it is, yet, she's on her way to the hospital now, but knowing she has to go all the way to Children's Hospital in Oakland has me worried.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Oh, no, -t. I hope it turns out okay.

Fingers crossed your AC stays on Kat.

I hope it's just that children's was the closest, t!

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Ugh, did not want to start this day out taking my tomcat to the vet for possible UTI or bladder stones. At least I can pick him up to put him in the cat carrier; if it were Molly I'd have to wait until she's too sick to fight.

Aw, that sounds like no fun for either of you.

We got an update - he was riding his bike when the car hit him, and his mom was able to communicate with him while he was in the ambulance so he's awake and alert. So that's good.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh, that is good! But still.
