I was always told that California snails are escargot snails that escaped into the wild like Australian rabbits. And not to eat them because pesticides, but if you do eat them put them in a cornmeal rich environment for a while to somehow purify them, like, they eat the cornmeal and it soaks up the toxins before passing on through? IDK, but MAYBE COFFEE WORKS TOO AND THAT SNAIL KNOWS IT?
Mmm, coffee infused escargot, that sounds like a must to try.
Calli, I'm so sorry. That's really awful for everyone in the circle.
Calli, that's awful. I'm so sorry.
I'm sorry Calli.
I think I'd vote against making a meal of any vermin I run across in my home. At least until my apartment gets a lobster infestation.
Calli, I'm so sorry. That's so horrible.
Hey, I posted this in Press, but I'll repeat it here:
Remember the traveling nail polish box? (Or, hey, even if you don't: look, it's a traveling nail polish box!)
I wasn't a part of the original traveling nail polish box, so I don't know when it stopped traveling. But amyth was purging her polish collection, and I've started a bit of a nail polish obsession, so she sent them to me. (Woo hoo!)
Is there any interest in reviving the traveling nail polish box? Because amyth sent me A LOT of polishes, and I won't keep them all. So I'd be happy to send them on to someone else (possibly with more from my collection).
If you're interested, email me at my profile addy.
I am agog at how big/heavy the box is! (Also, because I'm me, even though you told me they would be here today, I forgot, so it was a nice surprise!)
Where's your sense of adventure, Matt? Mmm, vermin.
I love the travelling nail polish box, yay! I don't know if I should participate, but I love that it may exist again (or continues to exist, whatever. Things I am bad at - mailing packages in a timely fashion and maintaining my nails, so I should continue to stay away from the travelling nail poliush box, alas).
I forgot to tell y'all yesterday - the Customer Service Appreciation dealie-bob yesterday had a superhero theme - all the consumer support people wore costumes and decorated their cubes with some interpretation of superheroes. My favorite was Batgirl, who did her cube all in pink and black and wore a black t-shirt with the sparkly pink batlogo and a pink tutu. She was the one that welcomed us to their little maze of cubicles and I exclaimed "Sparkly Pink Batman!", forgetting that not everyone has that as a reference and she corrected me that she was Batgirl and said her daughter told her Batgirl doesn't wear a tutu. We agreed that Batgirl could wear a tutu if she wanted to and she looked great.
Teppy, it is at Jilli's house.
