All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Have salmon in the water bath

I had to double check who posted this before I could parse it correctly.

Have you guys seen the story about the dumbass who jumped up on a Broadway stage to plug his phone into a (fake) outlet on the set? He's even more of a tool than I expected. [link]

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Heh. Phrasing.

This is my first exposure to that guy. He is an impressive tool all right.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Oh my, what a brainless little fuckwagon he is.

Cheesecake is in the fridge, rain sounds more like actual rain, sleep beckons.

So despite marinating in spf50, after days in the pool in Vegas and 3 1hr swims in NM, I'm now the brownest I've been since I lived here. Places are tanned that haven't seen the sun in 20 years. Most of it, the lack of atmosphere at 4k ft. And today I spent maybe an hour shopping in Mesilla (and birthday gifted myself with an oxahcan cat figure that IS The Pumpkin) with spf30 and have a slight sunburn on my arms. Or maybe it was the trio of 15 minute walks. And tomorrow, picking up my brother and heading to the water park. I might get a full sleeve rash guard if we have time. There is no staying in the shade.

Boys were a bit obstreperous tonight, didn't get my first pick of dinner places, but I do love the place we went. And because I like my strawberry shortcake with a sconey biscuit like cake and barely sweetened real whipped cream, the boys were like eh. MOAR FOR ME! But they gave me sweet handmade cards and shaped up when I fake tantrumed 'my birthday, suck It!'

I get better behavior from them when I usurp grandparental authority; I'm mean aunty, but they know exactly what I will and will not put up with. My damned parents spoil them! I know it's their job, but the endless negotiation makes me nuts.

Glad I'm here. Glad I had a Me vacation before this. And glad I had a couple of nephews to take out any tsuris I might've forgotten to blow off over turning 40. I mean, I had to threaten to bite Tyler when he tried to open MY presents!

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

It is honestly raining out there!

Bay Area, so weird. It was cold enough tonight that I wore a leather jacket and wool scarf on my way into the city, and then it rained! WTF, California, it's July!

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

and then it rained! WTF, California, it's July!

I am so, SO envious. I want rain.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Me too. All I got was sprinkled on as I was driving home.

Also, I got a crazy NM monsoon, complete with wind blowing birds stationary in flight, a gully washer down the street and epic thunder and lightning. And I got to stand on the front porch with my dad in the spray, watching it like we always used to. What more could I ask for?

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Sounds like a Happy Birthday, sara. It's not midnight here yet, so I can still wish you a good one--and a great year ahead.
