It rained today! I actually needed an umbrella!
Got a little bit done on my home unpacking today, but there are still multiple boxes in the front room.
And I've lost my Tivo remote. Happily, I found the Roku remote, so I was able to watch the Brooklyn 9-9 premiere.
And now to make cookies in my NEW KITCHEN.
sarameg, not even a glimmer of the before underneath it all?
Woo hoo, 'suela! If you're inclined to share pictures of the new kitchen, I'm inclined to ooh and ahh and validate your choices.
Ooh, yes, new kitchen pics!!
Thanks Maria! I lost a few pounds this past winter, and have really been enjoying that (I run better! Clothes fit me better, and when they don't I blame the clothes!), but a few crept back on. And hey, I wanna look nice for all the folks I only see once a year! ...the gay men. Because its key for the lesbian to look hot for them. Um.
a few crept back on
Oh, I get that. I keep beating myself up for allowing it to happen, and I refuse to buy new clothes so I keep wearing the same 5 or 6 things. I've got a closet full of beautiful things that I can wear once the weight comes off again. Brings me to tears sometimes.
Well, I recognized him by his eyes and ears. (That's weird, right? I don't notice ears usually.) But his current pic does nothing for me now, even with the same grin. Maybe if he talked it'd get better, but he's just not pure eye candy anymore. I could still seriously stare at his 20 self for hrs. Really nice guy in the day, though. Got me through thermo and showed for my thesis defense even though he'd graduated a year before.
I married my eye candy. Sometimes that seems kind of embarrassing to admit, like I'm superficial or something.
Almost all the guys from my class have gotten fat and gray (hey, at least I bucked the trend by still having as much hair as in high school!), but one friend looks eerily the same as he did in the late 1980s. And another who was kind of a pint-sized Ilan Mitchell-Smith lookalike joined the military and grew up HOT.
I will not start googling. I will not start googling. I will not start googling.
Kitchen photos!

I'm particularly pleased with how the floor turned out; it's simply gorgeous. And grateful to Dad's generosity, without which I would still be stuck with the awful white tile.
That's really an impressive change, Consuela. Love it.
