Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

You should, though. People don't think.

Or possibly come over all concern troll-y: "You know, you keep making jokes about suicide, and sometimes people make jokes when they are really thinking about it. Here are some resources for you if you need them." Hand over either pamphlets or info about a mental health help line or some such. If they defend by saying they were just joking of course they aren't going to do anything like that, you say something oh, so earnest about how they are much too valuable a person to take chances with, and you understand that the stigma of mental health challenges causes people to make light of their own suffering.

Not everyone can pull that sort of thing off, though.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

So, someone I know just posted on Facebook that her (Long-Island-raised) son got dinged on a school assignment (in Arkansas) for saying "meant" and "mint" are not homophones. Regional accents strike again!

They are here!

Our nurse's last day is tomorrow. And I'm genuinely pissed. The pissed-ness is coming from feeling abandoned and worried for Grace and just generally blah.

AND the endocrinologist says Grace can't have HGH treatment because her white blood count is high. We had her checked and rechecked and our PCP never said anything but the geneticist wrote that she thought Grace needed to be referred to hematology.

I JUST CANNOT.

And since last year, Grace lost 1/2 lb.

Bang head on desk repeatedly.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, man, Kat.

Punishingly Intricate

aw, Kat, that sucks.

I have not completed the job pursuit tasks but I did make a delicious lemon eggplant risotto topped with lamb meatballs and watched tv with my husband.

Thank you all for your good advice and for listening to me whine. I know I'm in a super privileged place right now w/r/t work and I shouldn't be complaining 'bout nuthin'.

ION, the weather is getting kind of scary here.

Not raining enough volume per minute for my roof leak, yet. I've been trying to call for 3 weeks and everydamntime I've picked up the phone, work crisis. I need to stop that. Or find a grown up to run my life.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

can you get that fixed before I move into your basement? #asking for a friend

sarameg - Sep 29, 2015 6:30:06 pm PDT #6278 of 30003

Problem in the basement is my secret hidden spring plus the leaky floor seam. Roof leak not an issue down there.

Fuck, I should check the basement.

sarameg - Sep 29, 2015 6:42:37 pm PDT #6279 of 30003

Aaaaaand spring sprung ( in the middle of a high part of the basement floor) and mild seam leaks. Not even one shopvac tonight.
