Or learn how to fake it! My ear is good enough that I pick things up as fast as anyone, but I definitely cannot sight-sing. I took a class once that got me pretty close, but that was years ago.

msbelle, does your boss always act like a little boy? Oh wait, I know the answer already, don't I?
In me-and-mine news, Cody and Isaac are off to Astrocamp tomorrow for a 3 day field trip. Exciting! For them I mean. Isaac is deep in one of those phases where everything is a huge struggle and he gets really upset easily. But in my experience those phases seem to be some sort of developmental thing from him. They are always followed by a big spurt in maturity.
Well, there's a difference between being able to read music in the middle of a chorus with accompaniment and being able to sight-sing cold. Our reauditions now include an a capella sight-reading section, and it's not fun.
Which may be a roundabout way of saying Cody may have his hands full on this trip, but it'll be worth it.
This speaker loves her marketing job more than I love chocolate.
My boss has untreated ADD, does not listen well, and both consciously and unconsciously fights against any new processes he does fully understand or feel comfortable with. He also has a bit of an inferiority complex wrt education and takes things very often as people trying to say he is stupid. He is, however, not an asshole, so it makes him better than my last two bosses.
Wow, Burrell, that sounds amazing! I hope Isaac enjoys it more than he is frustratde (for both of their sakes).
Oy, msbelle.
That is hard to imagine, Zen. Although I technically work in marketing, it is so not my favorite.
Wow msbelle, you just described my brother almost to a tee. Although in his case, add untreated depression to the list as well.
Not an asshole is good.

Yeah, yikes. I don't feel like I can Read Music, but I can certainly follow along pretty well. Definitely on the second pass.
