Through persistence, I finally got through to a leasing office and got the number of a leasing agent. I'm going to contact her and we shall see if any of these 1-bedrooms are still available in a couple of days (ha ha, they probably won't be):

I left a message at the leasing office here:

AND I talked to a guy about a move estimate.
Edit: Now I'm going to fuck off into this good night and go shoe shopping.
Omg. Left work early at my sisters prompting but she wanted to stop at a Walgreens for a scrip on the at home and we have been here for an hour. An actual hour. Motherfuck I'm going to kill something.
CONGRATS to Kate P and family! Welcome to the world, Jane!
And tommyrot, I’m very happy for you.
Thanks, Nora! That's a good spot. Would have been convenient for us when H was working at the end of the Causeway.
Hooray Kate and baby Jane and M. and Rose!!! YAY.
I had my first job interview in 16 years today. I think it went well. Or, at least, I'm going to try and keep myself from obsessing over whether it went well.
Question: post-interview follow-up notes, yea or nay? The Internet says yea, but I've been interviewing a lot of people lately, so speaking as someone on the other side of the table, IDGAF whether any of the candidates I've interviewed sends me a note or not. But I guess I should err on the side of, "It can't hurt."
Congratulations, Kate P!!! I also love the name Jane!
Good luck with all the move stuff, Shrift! I wonder what my old place, a 4-bedroom flat with garage space, in the Mission goes for now?
Congratulations Kate and family!
Good luck, amyth! I've never sent post-interview notes.
I am a firm believer in thank-you notes, but also anyone I'm hiring is writing thank-you notes as part of their job.
I'm pretty sure I will do them, but I'm going to wait until the morning. Somehow, I managed to go without eating all day. Worst! I'm now experiencing full body meltdown. I'm going to eat and then crash before it gets dark out.
