Stress is nobody's friend, Burrell--do you anticipate a better time soon, or just desperately hoping stress will magically get better? :(
After getting home and catching up on some stuff, I proceeded to pass out for a nap for hours. No idea how long.
BUT. Then I went to Trader Joe's. And Teppy's post on FB showed PUMPKIN. I was hoping TJ's had gone FULL PUMPKIN. But NO. It was really only partial pumpkin. I was sorely disappointed. Though I did purchase both pumpkin waffles and pumpkin yogurt.

Did you not have a full set of shelves of pumpkin stuff?
pumpkin yogurt.
Damn it, I didn't even look for the yogurt. That is my favorite pumpkin thing they make, hands down.
I also found the pumpkin spice Peeps at Target today. I can report that they have a faint taste of...something. Maybe cinnamon? But mostly they just taste like ALL THE SUGAR. In other words, like a regular Peep. That makes me sad, because the gingerbread Peep men last Christmas were very ginger-y and perfect in hot chocolate. I had high hopes for the pumpkin spice Peeps. Alas.
However, they're not icky, like the pumpkin spice Hershey's Kisses were last year. Those things just tasted like a candle.
I love pumpkin spice coffee, but there are plenty of things that just shouldn't be flavored with cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg. No, I do not want to try the new pumpkin spice burger.

Even I wouldn't eat that. I have standards when it comes to pumpkin. Not a LOT of standards, but still.
Pumpkin spice turkey burger sounds great to me. Seriously, I would eat many of those, I'm sure. As long as there isn't sugar (except in the form of cranberry relish or similar)
I liked the pumpkin kisses, too. They were not pumpkiny at all, and not really spicy as such, but I liked them anyway.
I have low standards, but pumpkin spice burger seems weird.
Teppy, they had some of the pumpkin stuff, but not all, and there was no spot with "Look at all our pumpkin stuff!"
I'm imagining it as pretty close to 5-spice burger with ginger, which sounds delicious.
I made a s'more with a ghost Peep tonight, and it was DELICIOUS. I had forgotten how well the Peeps caramelize over open flame.
SET ALL THE PEEPS ON FIRE OM NOM NOM.
In my local tjs this morning, I noticed that they had one or two pumpkin flavored thing out, and thought, gee, I should tell Teppy, but now I feel very behind.
I also ventured into Walgeens though, where they have a lot of Nightmare before Christmas stuff this year. I am totally hitting them up once I get back.
