Teppy, I think you should troll them with Tormented Artifacts leather belts and bag of fucks: [link]
And then you should send me the links to the sparkly bridesmaid belts, because I wanna seeeeeee. I like big sparkly belts.
Yay! I literally saw it from across the room and Had To!
Plei has been trying to convince me I don't need this: [link] I think she's wrong.
Oh Mac.i I wonder, is there some sort of volunteer thing (volunteered by you, haha) that you could sign him up for so someone else is the boss of him?
Not as punishment per se (except in your head.) Brought to you by my pool now has a teen volunteer that the guards have hand out swim bands, minor cleaning, answer questions, etc. Pretty basic, but someone else's authority, even if it's just a 18 year old.
Liese, I love the cat eye a LOT. And I feel your bridge of nose/needs nose pads not plastic frames pain.
I hate all the 9/11 tribute shit and memes. I'm sure it is worse for people who were in situ, but for me, it was the panic for my friends in the vicinity I could not reach and insanity. And the toll it took on them. And when my Midwestern baby cousin posts a godamn shared image meme and I'm like " you were TEN.IN BUMFUCK SD. And didn't find out till mama told you when you got back from school. SHUT THE FUCK UP."
I should be more generous, but I'm not. It's a lot like now, when I burst into yelling every damnedtime they call it 'Baltimore riots'. Stop redefining the reality I know is true. You don't know, you really don't know.
So yeah, so, yeah...
So I am engaged. Yup! To an incredibly beautiful woman named Rénu, who has an eight year old daughter (leaving out the kid's name for REASONS, we'll call her Boo).
Ré and I have known each other for about 25 years. She went to the same high school I did in Ann Arbor, about four years behind me. She's half Indian (Hindi), and works as a dance teacher.
Actually, she and I met way back in the day because she was dating MiracleMan briefly, long ago. Not long after she graduated, she left, and we fell out of touch for a really long time, until she and I reconnected on Facebook a few years back. In fact, she was still with the father of her child (of whom there are very few no good words to be spoken).
Eventually, she divorced him, because he's a jackhole. She dated at least one other guy along the way, who was also a jackhole. And then a couple of months ago, shortly after I moved to San Francisco, she and I started talking pretty seriously again, and it rather quickly bloomed into a a full blown relationship, because it turns out she's ALWAYS thought I was a hot guy. She is, of course, stunningly beautiful, so I was very happy to explore this.
Then she came out to SF to visit me, and by the time that trip was over, she had proposed to me, and I accepted.
As for the downsides, well... she lives in Denver, not San Francisco. And, for the moment at least, she legally can't leave Denver, because the father of her child is a litigious douchenozzle. I am unfortunately stuck in California because of Cali's generous in-state college tuition structures.
The other downside is that we'll have to have to actually do the deed until I am almost done with school, because her income would add to mine for financial aid purposes, and for the moment I need to be as much of a pauper as I can.
But we have visited each other a couple of times, and I have finally met her daughter, and Boo and I are pretty crazy for each other.
I really hope everybody gets to meet her soon enough. She's everything I could have ever imagined I could want or need from a partner, and never ever believed for a second I would ever find.
Sean, I am SO happy for you! And for Rénu and Boo. Every picture I've seen of you with Rénu and/or Boo, you look so glowingly happy. And they do, too! Your happiness absolutely MAKES my week.
Woo! Also, aww!
