I'm always amazed at incorrect email deliveries. I just got someone's eyeglass prescription emailed to me (same last name; first name of Tyler; lives in California [I learned all this from the attached PDF of the prescription]).
I don't usually reply to incorrect emails, but I did for this one. I told them I am not Tyler, do not live in California, and Tyler will not receive his prescription via the email address they used, and if they want him to receive his prescription, they need to contact him via alternate means.
Good luck, Tyler. Stop giving out my email address.
I've had a huge uptick in that over the last year or so, and it's such a pain.
I sometimes get email in French.
I am D-O-N-E. What I should do this afternoon is type up call notes and get my act together for next week. What I probably will do is not that.
Oh, tennis. I need to pay attention to that.
I woke up this morning congested and with an aching head. I better not be getting a cold, because that is unacceptable.
Having an unique name, I rarely get misdirected emails. The one time I did, it was a parents newsletter from an elementary school in California, address to someone with a Chinese name that was nothing like mine.
However, all my promotional email from Old Navy lately are address to "Nikki".
If I get misdirected email it gets caught by a Spam filter. I can't remember the last time I saw any.
Actual mail addressed to my neighbors or people who used to live in my house, otoh, all the time. My mail carrier is not super accurate.
I get misdirected email to my gmail account all the time but almost never to my yahoo account. It's infrequent enough, though, that I always respond and tell them they got the wrong lisah.
I've given up. No more vacation. I emailed my boss to let her know that my vacation has ended a day early and I'm working today. I've been working, a couple hours a day, this whole week I've been on vacation. ISTG. If I hadn't, I'd have come back Monday to a supermassive black hole of suck.
This is nuts. I worked extra hard last week to make sure everything was taken care of and other people were handling the editing. Every single person (volunteers! getting paid extra!) whom I gave work to screwed up. I think I'm more stressed out than if I'd not taken vacation and just done the work myself.
I sometimes get email in French.
I fairly frequently get what is obviously spam in French.
That sucks, Zen. I hope your boss is aware of the screw ups.
