Well, there aren't mosquitos in San Francisco.
Sadly, not true. But most areas are not as afflicted as our neighborhood with its jungle-like back yards.
It's true however that screens are uncommon in windows.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

You know what's delicious on a hot day? Root beer float. Mmm.
I bought hard root beer the other day! It is a trip. And would be an amazing float, I bet.
Also, I just had my last weekly check-in with my boss! Aw, now I feel warmly toward her. Is it too soon to cancel the recurring appointment?
We've been having problems with massive amounts of spam getting through the filters at my office. So our CFO (who more or less manages our tech stuff) got us an online thing to act as our NEW! IMPROVED! spam filter. Sent out an email to everyone with our passwords. Only there were no instructions and he neglected to send a link to the control panel. After I pointed this out, he condescended to send everyone the link. Now it turns out that the NEW! IMPROVED! filter classifies as spam some of the messages we need. Like our weekly e-newsletter. And our mass emails which, yes, are marketing stuff but people need to see them. So ... I get the job of forwarding these important messages to everyone in the office because most people haven't figured out that (1) they're not getting the messages and (2) how to whitelist those addresses.
Oh Toddson. Are you sure you don't work in academia?
I don't want to be doing any of the things I should be doing, so I am pretty much not.
Hard root beer? I don't know if my brain is ready for that concept.
Oh, good, Todd, I know that's what you needed, another thankless task.

Same. I was supposed to have a 4pm meeting, so I basically stopped working then. This is basically my slow week -- had a lot of deadlines around the 1st, more to come, but this week I'm just bracing for everything.

I need to write my annual review by tomorrow. Have I started it? Nope! Have I gotten a lot of other things done instead? Yep!
I have an 8pm meeting tonight and a 7am meeting tomorrow, which means I need to be up before 5am. I guess I'm just not getting sleep this week.
I finished my editing and have nothing until my boss sends me articles tomorrow, so instead of taking a walk, I just watched 2 episodes of 90210 on Hulu. This makes up for working until midnight last night.
