Like any of that's enough to fight the Dark Master. Bator.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Just spent a nice while in the driveway with the neighbors, but decided I had to come in to deal with laundry. As I was hanging my laundry, both toddlers started screaming, so I figured I made the right call! But then I realized it was because all the parents also decided to move on to other things, and Change Is Hard.

I got a text from someone, so I ended up getting up. I figured if I"m supposed to have lunch with her at noon, I should really eat breakfast at some point before then?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That is a pretty strong argument.

The status is NOT quo.

I've been waking up early now that I have to get up by 5:45 on weekdays, but this morning I slept solidly until 10. So much for that early morning run I'd planned.

Also, I've been having crazy intense dreams the past few nights that I wake up so involved in that I'm not sure what's real or not for awhile. Blech.

We have a wedding to go to this afternoon. I should probably eat something and shower and such.

Also, Ryan's triumph makes me smile.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I made itt to Costco already, where everything I might want to buy seemed to have rebates on them right now, which is good, but I still spent more money than intended. I also walked over, so the walk home was heavy on the pack mule.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I'm at work. I did exchange pleasantries with Bernard White a little while ago, so there's that.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Congrats to Ryan on winning the office pool!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Went to the liquor store, and all of the seasonal beer is for fall! Booo. I'm not ready! I was hoping for one more round of the grapefruit.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I've spent all day (and am still at it) working on the silent auction organization for our event next Friday. It is a cluster to say the least. The WRONG person was gathering the items and has been giving the information in small pieces. She needs to just HAND IT OVER and let us deal. She isn't even going to be AT the event. I am SO over it.

For those who know my drinking habits - I'm ready to have a beer (for those who don't know, I don't drink beer).

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

So, I'm having steak for dinner, and decided to open a bottle of zin to go with it, and i have a vague memory rattling around in my brainpan that when you are letting a wine breathe you are supposed to pour out a glass, not just uncork it (if you aren't going to decant, which I am not right now). Got out my trusty workhorse of a plain red wine glass (by plain I mean it isn't, like, printed for some event or winery or what have you) and completely missed the counter, effectively flinging it at the ground. Argh. But got that all swept up and was muttering to myself that, you know, I like that glass and if I am that clumsy I don't want to risk any of the fancy crystal or commemorative glasses and what am I going to drink this already open wine out of now?

But wait, I say to myself, once upon a time I had more than one glass like that. Surely I have not broken them all. Trot out to the shed and not only did I pack away my excess dinnerware into recognizable dinnerware-holding boxes, I labeled them well enough that I could find the wine glasses on the first try. Well done, past -t!

The front yard, by the way, is better than it was yesterday, and way better than it was Friday morning, but not really, you know, done. Oh well, it's too hot to be working outside anymore today.
