I like books. I just don't want to take on too much. Do they have an introduction to the modern blurb?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

First day of vacation: sick with a massive head cold and horrible cough. Man, can I self-sabotage or what? On the plus side, though, it got me out of playing miniature golf with my sister and her BF.

I'm sorry you are sick! But let this be your excuse for everything for the whole vacation!

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Under "people you may know" on LinkedIn, there is a Dr. Doom who does Global Risk Management. Five people I know are connected to him. Am I a background character in a comic book?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That might explain some things.

Totally milk the current illness to get out of anything you don't want to do the next however long, Zen.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I went out to the Farmer's Market this morning and by the time I got back Mom had gotten up, gotten Dad out of bed and dressed, and fixed breakfast. I hope this means she's well on the road to recovery.

Also sacrificed most of the afternoon to a much-needed nap.

I had a stare down with an arguably very cute rat today. Unfortunately, it's one of several trying to burrow in my yard and under my garage, so it's doomed. All signed up for city rat rubout, but I may have deployed some gas warfare this afternoon. Good old household chemicals....

Impersonated neighbor with her permission and signed her up too.

Happens a lot. When you finally relax, your body says "oh, I can get sick now, I have time"

Entirely possible. Do keep us up to date if there are strange happenings--meteors, unusual animals, robots, etc...

brillig

If someone appears at your door in the middle of a thunderstorm, clutching a baby, close the door, lock it, and turn off all the lights.

We are using a robot for the ghost of Christmas Future this year. It's been hovering in the stage left wing for about a month now.

Coding and Sleeping

I've had a bad day. I've been busy all day long and accomplished almost nothing. I helped my grandmother move all morning, had lunch, did some laundry, mowed for a couple of hours (but didn't actually finish the yard), fixed a toilet (my only actual accomplishment), went to the grocery store, fixed dinner, and cleaned up the kitchen. Now I'm busy not getting enough software development done for work and rescheduling all of the things I wanted to get done today to other days. Almost a total fail.
