Yikes, Connie!
And Ginger! Stay safe and check in when you get a chance, I will worry.

flea, I feel certain you could totally do that job. And that's awesome you got the call sitting on the floor in your underwear. So 21st century!
I am deferring brewing my pot of tea until after the webinar because I am that much of a professional. Herbal tea today, that will be too late for caffeine.
My iced tea/lemonade mix, sold under the Arnold Palmer brand, has an aftertaste of turpentine. Do not want. Will have to make my own mix and bring it in to work. It'll cut the diet Coke consumption.
Hi Cindy! Hi Kate!
Is it wrong that I was relieved to get to work today so as to have a break from caring for parents and doing household chores? At least here the temperature inside is comfortably cool.
They're reporting that the gunmen took wallets from the people in the CVS, and then went on to rob a Dollar General shortly afterwards. My street is the road between the CVS and the Dollar General. Daylight robberies in what is basically a residential area seem to show a certain level of desperation. They haven't caught them yet, but they could have gotten right on 285 and be anywhere.
I am in the office today, making my monthly appearance and checking in with my manager. He and I get along great, to the point where he tells me stuff he probably shouldn't. He is frustrated with his management role, not having budget for meeting with his team and providing mentorship. I off hand asked who he would recommend as a replacement and he said me. Ummm, what???
flea, I get that not feeling worthy thing, but I feel like you could definitely do this. But hearing that, and believing it yourself are two different things, I know.
Yikes, Ginger, I hope they catch the gunmen, or at least they leave your neighborhood and go far, far away.
Cool, Suzi!
Flea, I totally believe you could do it. Those examples are great, if you reframe them as things you HAVE done ("managed a team of volunteers at library") vs haven't ("I've only handled 5 and did most of the work myself")
Meanwhile I am hella frustrated--I've been super overworked the past few months, to the point where even though I'm working way over 100%, I still can't get everything done. And they kept promising they'd add someone to the team. Who is brand new in this role...and a couple weeks ago I had to do the sign-off visit and say "no, she's not ready". Tuesday I did her repeat visit and STILL have to say "no"....even though that means I'm still on the hook for all this stuff I thought I could give to her. :(
Suzi, no surprise here.
Ugh for all the work frustration.
Who knows if/when it would ever happen or if upper management would concur, but the fact that he thinks I'm capable is kinda cool.
Meanwhile, IT still can't figure out why my computer microphone won't work. And I have to pack up my cube cause our group is moving yet again. I've been in the Denver office for 7 years and an currently in my 6th cube with number 7 later this month.
