I am the fly who dreams of the spider

So now my mom is trying to convince me that I should rethink how her son n creeped me out in the bad touch way and that even beyond that incident, I was creeped out by him trying to force some blissful sibling relationship that we'd never had "but he *believed* it!", and now I'm biting my tongue on how I never ever liked him and wished that I'd had the guts to have stuck by my disownership of him when he was in jail trying to tell me how to live my life post-army/first year of college.

I won't say anything bad about it unless your specifically asking, but if you do ask, don't then try to make me change my mind about it. Fuck, woman.

Car should be fixed Tuesday afternoon/evening. Too far away. I'll drive into the early parts of Wednesday if that's what I'm left with. Honest co versatile with the family is not good. Especially for a woman who wants to turn her son into a saint. Oh, when he was sober, he was so good . . . Do how many hours was that over the past year and a half?

And well, I can't blame him since I do have such big boobs and he needed time to wrap his head around them.

Also, dad arranged the memorial service when lil bro has a shift, and at this point, I'm not coming back up three or four days after I leave here for an hours service. And if I hadn't come up when I had, I still wouldn't have made because I wouldn't be able to drive until Sunday.

While I'm angry, neighbor stopped by while I was weeding and said "hopefully he's at peace". So I guess the unhopeful option is that he isn't? Cool, maybe he's in hell, but hopefully not. Thanks.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

The thrifting gods smiled upon me today: a barely-used pair of discontinued Fluevog boots!

Julie, you know your truth. I wish you luck in disengaging from them along those lines.

PSA, people: do not got to IKEA during the start of the school year in a college metropolis. I thought I'd avoided them during move in by going to Target early last week, and mostly did. But they were all at IKEA today. Never occurred to me. And TJs was lousy with them yesterday. That'll slack off some as they figure out their schedules and start sleeping in Saturdays.....

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, wow, Jilli, that's awesome!

I have probably not done all that absolutely could have today, if I had really tried, but I think I may have done enough. One more task and I'll be pretty pleased.

I really need to do something about the front yard, though. Supposed to be be cooler on Tuesday, maybe after work I can judiciously whack some weeds.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I did 35 minutes on the treadmill this morning, slow but done; I really really need to get back in the habit of exercise. That's about all I've done today. I'm giving up on updating my old tablet that's now refusing to stay connected to the wireless. Not worth any more time. I think I'll trade it in at Best Buy for a Galaxy Tab.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Juliebird, keep focused on taking care of yourself.

I can imagine!

I am feeling good about progress on work stuff, finally. Phew.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

In other non ranty-ness, I went on a two hour hike with dad and the two boxers. The highlight was winding up skirting the edge of someone's meadow at the bottom of a hill worthy of cows with bells, where we met a dog that looked like it had some Chesapeake in it, and she frolicked with Gizmo and Cisco and even spared me and dad some friendly licks. I named her Buster. Then it was time to be on our way. We said bye, I said stay. She came with us. Out past the little duck pond and back onto the atv trail. My dad was completely oblivious to our extra companion or just st didn't give a hoot. I knew the dog would most likely find her way bac home eventually but I didn't want to risk it. We hit another trail and were about to hang a left and take the next girl, and that dig was still with us. I confirmed which fork dad was taking and leashed my new buddy and walked back to Switzerland and let her go, and thankfully the excitement of her new canine buddies was forgotten.

I felt a little like that awful cartoon with the kangaroo.

Buster! Come back!

Paging Tep: I have been seized by a desire for a Dina and Hannelore crossover event.

I had to tell someone who would understand.

ETA: also, finished the one more thing so I have a good couple of hours of leisure before bed, hooray!

HELL. YES. My 2 favorites! Jeff Jacques and Dave Willis are friends, so this could happen in theory.
