I spent the entire day sitting next to the window (with the occasional lap cat) listening to the rain and reading. Bliss.
Friday was the last spending day of the fiscal year and my equipment budget had just enough for me to get a new desk. This is something I do need, but now it will be arriving when I'm in the middle of managing load-in for two shows at the same time. Meep.
We had a "female energy presence" named Gillian on the ghost walk yesterday
I find this hilarious for some reason.
Also - have you gotten any info on that house you were asking about on tumblr? I have the address but not floor plans, if that might be helpful.
I did get a bit of info -- mostly that it's a private residence, so finding floor plans is not really going to happen. Of course, after I made that post, Pete was all
"Do you need floor plans drawn up? I love doing that sort of thing! Why didn't you ask me?!"
Because you're BUSY, dear, and I didn't want to pester you.
(Also, hiiiiiiii, I've had like three cocktails. Wheee!)
I went to a corporate volunteer thing yesterday (bagging food for food banks). We were so efficient that they set us home early so the next shifts would have something to do. I got all my weekend chores except for vacuuming done, which means today is looking pretty lazy. I feel autumnal, event though temps are still in the 80s, so I'll probably set a pot roast going in the slow cooker. (That always says fall food to me.) But for now I'm trapped under cat.
Oh, good, I hoped the ghost walk thing would amuse.
The house is visible on google street view from two sides, that's something, and I came across some kind of film made by high school students that is supposed to feature it in some way but I didn't watch enough of it to tell how.
Cincinnati to Chicago is $700. The hell?
That's why I drove to Indy last month. Same ridiculous fare.
Timelies all!
Need to write more thank you notes. Also need to start moving my comics to the basement. Have a big case of the "don't wanna"s.

I would have driven, but since it was a work trip and they reimbursed everything, I pretty much didn't care.
I know it's been a while since I've flown thanks to virulent hatred of the TSA, but I remember flights from Memphis to the West Coast being in the $250-350 range, and my income sure hasn't doubled or tripled since then. Are the airlines determined to drive everyone back to using ground transportation?
Magic Hour is real, except it's a lie because it's actually more like Magic 35 Minutes At Most If You Get Lucky And It's Not Too Cloudy. #formerfilmstudent
